In this series of drawings, I pull from and re-imagine scenes from the folk tales I grew up watching on Hungarian national television. I offer a peculiar, queertake on the stories, depicting characters out of context, highlighting moments of desire, destruction, and disorientation. In doing so, the drawings rupture the narratives that for so long deceived me and challenge the violent misogyny and economic inequality built into the national identity I was meant to take for granted.
